Angling.Pro’s custom-built website was unstable and lacked the essential eCommerce functionality needed to sell online. Frequent technical issues created frustration for staff and resulted in missed opportunities to expand their customer base and revenue.

We migrated the business to Shopify, designing a modern, user-friendly store equipped with advanced features such as subscriptions, bundled products, mega menu navigation, and full stock synchronisation with their physical shop. The new platform streamlines operations while supporting future growth.

Can you migrate an eCommerce website if there is no clean product export?
Yes. The Angling.Pro migration was more complex because the old website did not have an exportable product database, clean sitemap or simple import route. To solve this, we used a custom Screaming Frog crawl to extract the product data we needed, then converted that data into a Shopify import file.
How did you migrate 1,500 products to Shopify?
Did you optimise the products during the migration?
Yes. The migration was not just a straight copy-and-paste exercise. As part of the process, we optimised product titles, meta titles, meta descriptions, product descriptions, collection descriptions and collection metadata so the new store launched with stronger SEO foundations.
Can you preserve SEO during a website migration?
Yes. SEO needs to be considered before, during and after migration. For Angling.Pro, we reviewed the old URL structure, planned redirects, optimised product and collection content, and created improved metadata for the new Shopify store to help protect visibility during the move.
Why move from angling.pro to anglingpro.co.uk?
We advised moving to anglingpro.co.uk because the target market is primarily in the UK. The old angling.pro domain was redirected and retained for branding purposes, while the new .co.uk domain gave the website a clearer UK focus.
Do you support eCommerce SEO after launch?
Yes. We are continuing to support Angling.Pro with SEO after the Shopify migration. The ongoing campaign is still in the early stages, with work focused on improving search visibility, strengthening product and collection pages, and building on the foundations created during the migration.
